Beacon, New York: Grande Tennis Academy (DBT)

A Grande Tennis Academy takes tennis enthusiasts to the rolling hills and scenic woodlands of a New York Metropolitan property. The Grande Tennis Academy in Beacon, New York has residential opportunities for youth players, as well as facilities that can accommodate adult guests.

This tennis facility complex offers intense tennis training and top play in immediate proximity to the art and cultural hub of Beacon, New York. With dormitories within a renovated mansion on scenic woodlands in the Hudson River Valley, the Beacon Grande Tennis Academy provides tennis instruction to academy students, as well as adult guests. Originally serving as the showcase home of an American Civil War general and then a health facility for the wealthy and elite of American society, the historic Tioronda Estate provides classrooms, offices, dormitory rooms, and wellness and club facilities. Inspired by and grounded in the luxurious roots of its century long history, the Craig House restoration becomes an important preservation milestone in Dutchess County.

The 14 (potential expansion to 23) court tennis complex has camps, clinics, and instruction inspired and informed by tennis celebrities’ globally recognized training and competitive methods. Lighted courts and weather protection during the winter season enables year-round practice and play. Seating and viewing platforms allow students to showcase their skills in front of peers, parents, and instructors—and allow them to view instructor and tennis pro exhibition matches. During the weekend, students, families, and guests will also enjoy the indigenous art galleries and museums in the city of Beacon, as well as the city’s fine dining and robust selection of international cuisines, crafts and collectibles shops, and festivals.
